DESOTO vs. C.E. KING

DeSoto capped off a dominant state championship performance with a 55 to 27 win over Houston C.E. King, using a balanced offense and explosive plays to pull away. The Eagles controlled the tempo early and never looked back, finishing the night with 459 total yards and consistent scoring in every quarter.

Quarterback Legend Howell led the way for DeSoto with a standout performance through the air, completing 19 of 25 passes for 280 yards and four touchdowns. His poise and accuracy kept the C.E. King defense on its heels. On the ground, SaRod Baker delivered a strong effort, rushing for 125 yards on 24 carries and scoring two touchdowns to add to DeSoto’s offensive firepower.

Houston C.E. King showed resilience behind Dionne Sims, who rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown, while quarterback Timothy Potts threw for 159 yards and two scores. Despite those efforts, DeSoto’s speed and efficiency proved too much as the Eagles finished the season on top with a convincing championship victory.
