LONE STAR US SMITHSON VALLEY

Smithson Valley delivered a strong all around performance to secure a 28 to 6 victory over Frisco Lone Star in the state championship, using a balanced offense and disciplined defense to control the game.


Smithson Valley quarterback Ty Knutson led the way, completing 12 of 21 passes for 160 yards and a touchdown while also adding 19 rushing yards. Running back Caleb Peagler was a key factor on the ground, carrying the ball 18 times for 64 yards and scoring a touchdown that helped keep the momentum on Smithson Valley’s side. The offense finished with 279 total yards and consistently won the field position battle.


Frisco Lone Star was led by quarterback Trey Wright, who threw for 115 yards and a touchdown while also contributing 30 rushing yards. Karece Hoyt added a spark in the run game with 53 yards on just six carries. Despite their efforts, Lone Star struggled to sustain drives as Smithson Valley’s defense held firm, sealing a championship performance and a decisive win on the biggest stage.
