Willis outlast Forney 38-32 to advance to the 4th round of the Texas High School playoffs.
Willis pulled out a hard fought 38-32 win over Forney in a high scoring matchup that stayed tight into the final moments. The game turned into an offensive showcase as both teams moved the ball consistently and answered each other score for score.
Willis quarterback Lincoln Frazier led the way with a huge night through the air, throwing for 489 yards and four touchdowns on 25 of 42 passing. He also got support from Jayvian Osborne, who added 93 rushing yards and a touchdown to help control the pace when needed. Forney answered behind Nelson Peterson Jr., who finished with 281 passing yards and two touchdowns while keeping the Jackrabbits in striking distance all night.
In the end, Willis made the key plays late to hold off Forney’s comeback and secure the six point victory.
Defending State Champs North Crowley rolls past Coppell to advance to round 4.
North Crowley powered past Coppell with a 46-21 win in the regional semifinal, using a balanced offense and steady execution on both sides of the ball. The Panthers jumped out early and never let momentum swing back.
Quarterback Hayes Cloutier led North Crowley through the air, throwing for 229 yards and a touchdown while keeping the offense moving on key downs. The ground game was just as effective behind Kiante Ingram, who rushed for 140 yards and a score, consistently breaking through Coppell’s front line. Jeremiah Robertson added another rushing touchdown with 56 yards, helping seal the win.
Coppell battled throughout the night, but North Crowley’s depth and efficiency proved too much as the Panthers punched their ticket to the next round.
Southlake Carroll cruises to a 49-31 victory over Coppell.
Southlake Carroll Pulls Away Late to Beat Prosper, 49–31
Southlake Carroll came out strong and never looked back in a 49–31 win over Prosper, using a balanced offense to control the game. The Dragons set the tone early and continued to answer every Prosper push with big plays.
Quarterback Angelo Renda led Southlake Carroll through the air, throwing for 235 yards and 3 touchdowns, showing poise and accuracy all night. On the ground, Parker Harris was a major factor, rushing for 95 yards and 2 touchdowns, helping the Dragons keep Prosper’s defense on its heels.
Prosper fought hard behind quarterback Braeden Imhoff, who passed for 298 yards and 2 touchdowns, keeping the Eagles competitive through much of the game. Despite the strong effort, Southlake Carroll’s efficiency and scoring depth proved too much, sealing the Dragons’ victory.
